December 29th 2009

Benjamin is excitedly now a 4 year old! Can't hardly believe it! We had a fun day just the five of us celebrating his birthday last week. He opened the present we got for him that day, a Leap Frog learning game system. As soon as he opened it, he said "It's a video game!"

He was very sweet and let Anna open one of the games that go with it. The games are a little more difficult than I thought they were going to be, but he does surprisingly well and doesn't get frustrated with it.

Oooh, what's inside?

Not too exciting, just a bag for the game. I like how Anna is looking down in the gift bag to make sure there's nothing else!

A little under an hour away is a fun bouncy place that the kids loved when we took them a while back. We decided it would be fun to take them for Benjamin's birthday and they had a blast!

Benjamin was super brave with the big slides and went right up!
and came sliding down!

He's a very special four year old!

We were shocked that Anna wasn't afraid to go up the big slide either. She had a lot of fun on all the smaller kid bouncers too!

Benjamin was such a sweet brother. He would get to the top, wait for Anna and encourage her while she climbed the rest of the way and help her once she was within reach. Then he would guide her to the empty slide and help her get ready to go down.

They both sailed down the slides sooo fast!

Benjamin had a lot of fun going through the bouncy obstacle course too.

Collin was so good the whole time and didn't get upset really in the car either (usually he doesn't much care for the car seat).

It was a wonderful day! One of my favorite parts was seeing proof of how hard Benjamin and Anna both played on the bouncers and slides. We got a pizza there and they each ate four or five fairly good sized pieces! It was quite impressive to watch!

Happy Birthday sweet Benjamin! I am so happy we had such a wonderful celebration of you turning four. It's so fun to see how excited you are that you're four. I loved how each time we sang Happy Birthday To You, you would sing along. I loved that you were so appreciative for all your presents. I loved that when I woke up this morning (more than a week after your birthday) you told me, "Look at the snow Momma. God put sparkles in it for my birthday!" What a sweet boy you are! You are so loving and affectionate! I'm so proud of you! It has been an amazing four years with you and I'm so excited to watch you grow and grow!
Love,
Momma
