More Cute Pics

Here are some more cute pictures of Zoe and Benjamin. Benjamin learned how to throw the ball to Zoe today and that was pretty cute! We painted all day today and did yard work yesterday plus Benjamin and I have colds. So I am pooped! So this will have to be short and sweet. Here are the cuties................

It blows my mind that Zoe is almost ten years old. She is so active and fun and plays and runs around like a young dog. I'm so thankful for her good health and hope that it will continue far into the future as we really love having her be part of our family!

You can see Benjamin's Heart Mom shirt in this picture. Dave made fun of it again today, but I still think its really cute!

"Come on Zoe, lets play!"

All Kinds of Fun

Sorry for the lack of posts to any dedicated viewers out there (aka Kelly). Benjamin and I spent the last few days in New Albany at my parent's house. But never fear, here are some pictures from the past week.

Dave being all cute and proud because he organized the garage so that we could fit both cars in it. It took a little work because we still have some of Daniel's stuff in there, but never fear....Dave is here! :)

Benjamin playing in his new igloo tent that his Grandma got him.
Enjoying a smoothie on the way to New Albany after Frankie and I finished painting our first room! Yea!

Benjamin playing with his Great-Grandpa's cane............................

And with his hat!!!!!

And now for the best picture of all. Why is it so great you may ask? Well its because its a picture of my sweet Zoe sleeping on our couch tonight in our house where she gets to live now!!!!! Hip! Hip! Horray!!!!! Thanks so much Mom for letting me have her, I'm so excited!!!!

Church and Chili

We are very excited to say that we joined our church today. Afterwards, our pastor asked us to stand with him in the back of the sanctuary as everyone left so we could greet them. Well aparently Benjamin has become quite the little mimicker. He watched us shaking everyone's hands and then all of sudden started doing it too! He would put his hand out to each person and they would shake his hand and he would pull away and then reach for the next person. It was too funny! We are really happy to be apart of this church and look forward to all of the friendships and Christian growth that we hope to gain from there.

For lunch we had chili and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Benjamin was super funny eating his sandwich with a piece in each hand and holding two spoons to eat the chili! He's getting really good at eating with a spoon and loves being able to do it! He's eating a lot more, which is a refreshing change. Especially for Dave who still wishes more than anything that Benjamin would get his baby fat back and be his pudgy little boy again! I've tried telling him that isn't going to happen and that its called baby fat for a reason but he won't give up hope! Here are some pictures of the chili, peanut butter, jelly mess/cuteness!

First Milk Shake

I am so bummed. Benjamin and I went to Steak 'n Shake tonight because Dave had to work today. I usually keep my camera in the diaper bag. But after downloading my pictures yesterday, I left it by the computer. I really wished I had it because Benjamin was so adorable! I got him his first milk shake. It was in a little cup with a lid and he sat on the booth holding his milk shake, just sipping away. It was really really cute! He looked like such a big boy! I think Steak 'n Shake might be his new favorite restaurant. He really liked their thin french fries and he ate almost all of his sandwich and fries. Its so cool seeing him sit there and eat a sandwich biting off of it like an adult and dipping his fries in ketchup! He's growing up so fast and it so amazing! After dinner we went to Target and I got the rest of Benjamin's Easter presents. He had a lot of fun walking up and down the book aisle and watching some big kids. We had a really fun day together even though we really missed Dave. We are slowly adjusting to this new schedule. It was really not fun at first, but we made it through 6 whole days this week....no problem. Yea us!

Little Sweetie-Pie!

Look at my cute little guy! Doesn't he look so sweet just sitting on the couch with his hands and legs crossed?!?! He was such a loving little boy today. All he wanted was to sit on the couch and cuddle and give me hugs and kisses! With all the many many toys this kid has and he just wants to cuddle with his mommy! How blessed am I?!?! I love spending everyday with him so much!

Playgrounds Are Fun!!!!!

Benjamin and I had to go to the post office downtown, so we went to my favorite park here, which is right downtown. I used to take Benjamin for long walks there last year when he was just a wee little baby! So it was fun to take him there now that he's big enough to play on the playground. They have a really nice one. Its really safe and Benjamin can go all through it and I can follow him on the outside without worrying he will fall. That makes it more fun for both of us!

This is Benjamin staring at the other kids. He especially likes big kids. There was this girl who was about 8 and he followed her around for awhile. It was pretty cute!

This was Benjamin's favorite part. He loved this slide. He would crawl down it and then try really hard to go back up it. He would get almost to the top before he would finally give up and go back down! You can kind of see his feet as he's going back up!
I took this picture through one of the holes in the slide. This was Benjamin taking a little break after trying so hard to climb back up!

As you can tell he had a whole lot of fun. He threw such a fit when it was time to go, I thought he was going to throw himself out of the stroller as we walked back to the car!!!! We are really enjoying the nice weather (its been in the 70's). Unfortunately, the next few days are going to be cooler and rainy! We'll have to get creative and find something fun to do to replace our daily trips to the playground! Especially since Dave has to work Saturday! Boo!

Silliness

We spent the weekend in New Albany with my family. We had a pitch-in lunch after church and all my dad's family got together. It was a lot of fun getting to see everyone. I was really excited to get a family picture of all of us, but Katie (my sister) went to Florida for Spring Break and my three littlest cousins were sick and along with my aunt couldn't come. So that was kind of a bummer. But we still had a great time and some good food!

In other exciting news, as Dave puts it....."We got grinders now!!!!!" Yep Benjamin has cut two of his big teeth in the bottom back of his mouth. One on Thursday and the other today! Pretty cool! They look so big! He's doing really good with them and doesn't seem to be too bothered by them coming through, so that's a relief!

Here are some pictures from our weekend......

My dad really had Benjamin in stitches. He had a rubber band on his wrist and he let Benjamin pull it. When it hit his wrist, my dad would say ooohhh and Benjamin would just laugh and laugh! It was really cute. He really enjoys his Grandpa and wanted to go to him evertime he was around. I think my dad's back and knees were a little sore after this weekend, but I'm pretty sure he enjoys his grandson loving him so much!

Being a cool man, trying on Grandpa's sunglasses!

My dad just bought some land in Mill Town on Blue River (about 45 minutes from their house). Its right on the water and they have quite a bit of land. There's a really old house there, but my dad is planning on tearing it down and building a new place. I have a feeling those boys are going to have quite a bit of fun fishing there!

And now for some very exciting news.......my parents have finally agreed that I can have my dog, Zoe!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so super excited! I love her so much and hope she'll be happy living with us! I'm not sure when we are going to take her, but it'll be soon! Yea!!!!

Benjamin's New (Big) Toy

We decided to buy Benjamin yet another toy!!! He has a lot of energy now that he's walking and so we thought that he would enjoy something to climb and play on. We found this little playground that you can put indoors and outdoors and thought it would be fun for him to have in the house until it is warm enough for us to play outside. Dave put it together for us and Benjamin just loves it!!! He plays on it all day long. It's really cute to see how happy it makes him! I think I might need to start a daycare or something to justify all the toys this kid has!!!!!

Family Week

Benjamin and I spent the last week in New Albany with our families. It was a long week away from home and Dave (he was only there on the weekend), but we had so much fun. We are so happy to be near our family again, so we can share Benjamin with them. He's at a really fun age right now and is having a lot of fun with all of his grandparents. He was all over both of their houses!!! Here are some pictures that we took.

Benjamin with his Grandma Susan and her dogs. He's making a pretty funny face here!

My mom bought Benjamin this little 4x4 bike. I just had to show him the button once and he figured it out and was on his way all over their kitchen and living room. It was really cute! He really looked like a little boy instead of a baby riding it!

Dave and Benjamin catching some zzzzzzzz's!

Mike gave Benjamin his first drum lesson. He really liked it! I think Mike was afraid Benjamin was going to whack him with the drumsticks!!!!

Benjamin and his Grandma Frankie had fun making messes....they made chocolate chip cookies and brownies. Here's the damage after the brownie making! Benjamin and his clothes required a bath after this one! They had a lot of fun though!!!!
