Collin is 3!

Dave took a day off to celebrate Collin turning three. It was one of the best days ever! We had so much fun just being together. We measured Collin on the wall that morning and he was taller than Benjamin and as tall as Anna was when they turned FOUR! He's a tall guy! Dave took the opportunity to get a cute photo op with Eva. See world, she's LITTLE! :)

Dave had a fun idea to go to McDonald's for breakfast to start our day.

Then we drove out to Brown County. The kids were really cute pointing out all of the pretty leaves.

It was such a beautiful day!

Me and my babies. :)

Off to hike!

Dave decided to strike a funny pose with Eva and I of course can't resist posting it...

There was a huge tree that had fallen over, including it's roots, and if you talked next to it there was an echo. So we decided that would be a good place to sing Happy Birthday to Collin.

Brothers!

Anna in her adorable new owl jacket.

We always point out where beavers have worked on the trees on our hikes, so we were pretty tickled to find where the beaver's (known as Billy The Beaver to us) home is.

Sweet birthday boy! By the end of the hike, Collin was getting a little tired and was slowing down. So I told Dave he could keep going with Benjamin and Anna and I would stick back with Collin. I had the best time just slowly strolling along with the newly turned 3 year old. His imagination has all of a sudden blossomed and he LOVES telling tales. I walked behind him as he told me things like, "You know that I can pick up sharks, Momma? I pick up really big ones and they don't eat me and I'm not scared." or "Did you know that I eat snakes?" or "Did you see me hulk-smash that tree? I did do that." It was so fun listening to his imagination soar.

After Brown County we drove to Bloomington and ate lunch at a yummy new vegetarian restaurant  Then we went to their children's museum for the first time. It was a really cool place...especially the water activity....

The boys LOVED it!

Don't know how well you can see it here, but they would put a ball into a tube that would take it up onto these two strings. It rolled to the end and then fell in between the strings and plopped in the water tornado below which of course gave out a splash. They were so tickled by this!

There was a little kid area to play around in that the birthday boy enjoyed.

Anna loved the climbing contraption!

After a fun and full day, we headed back home for birthday cake.

Collin's presents were upstairs and we had him sit on the couch and let Anna and Benjamin bring them to him. He was so excited!!!

Look at him....he was laugh-out-loud happy!

More presents!

The kids love trying to open new toys from the boxes, which is a job we are more than happy to share!

After an amazing day together, it was fun watching the kids quietly play with Collin's new toys.
