Wisconsin Trip: Zoo Edition

Some of our family recently moved a lot closer to Wisconsin. It was our nephew's birthday, so we made the trip to see their new place and spend the weekend with them. We had a lot of fun although both boys ended up with fevers (not fun during a road trip!). The kids especially loved driving through Chicago! They had never seen such a big city before. We also drove past a huge wind farm. The kids were so fascinated by them (Dave and I were too) and called them spinning wheels. Here they are all ready to sleep for the last part of the trip.

There was a really awesome zoo that was free. So we all headed out the next morning and enjoyed a wonderful day. Look how big this kid is looking!

Collin had been talking about kangaroos for some reason when we got there. Then when we made it to their exhibit, the kangaroos weren't there. He quickly said, "It's okay Momma. I can be a kangaroo." and then he started jumping up and down like this. It was too funny!

Benjamin and I had just spent a day learning about turtles and tortoises in school. So we were both pretty excited to see this big guy!

The boys all being flamingos.

There was an amazing playground there that the kids loved. The boys even climbed into this mom and pretended to be her joeys.

Polar bear!

Benjamin seeing how well he compares....

We all had fun on their cute little train ride!

When the train took off, Collin was overcome with pure joy! It was so cute!!

Our two little train riders (Benjamin was in a different car with his cousin).

Group shot.

There was a carousel too.

Penguins!

Benjamin and Anna with their cousin Jack after getting back to the car. Three happy and tired kiddos!
