Little Artists

We've been staying busy with art projects around here lately. This one was a lot of fun. Benjamin and I went through a bunch of magazines/newspapers and found fun pictures to cut out. He's getting really good at using scissors and really enjoys cutting papers. He kept at it for about 2 hours!

Benjamin and I then had a lot of fun making pictures with Anna. We each glued our favorite pictures to construction paper. I forgot to take a picture of the end products though, sorry! We also made Valentine hearts, you'll see those in a future post.

I found this super cool castle that is made out of cardboard boxes that the kids can climb in and color. It is so much fun!

They work really hard on coloring it and we've made it really colorful and fun!

Benjamin drew this house all by himself......

He has really been wanting to watch "Yoda" (Star Wars). Dave and I thought about it and decided we thought he was probably old enough. He was beyond excited!!

Dave did a really good job explaining the movie to Benjamin so that he could understand and enjoy it. We were both impressed that Benjamin stuck through the whole movie.

Collin had his first fit during the Super Bowl. It took Dave and I by surprise. Especially since the terrible offense that caused it was his mean Daddy tried to put his pants on him. Gasp!!! He started by ramming his head into Dave's legs while crying over and over again.....

He then began flailing around on the ground......

as there wasn't much we could do (he wouldn't let us hold him to calm him down or anything) we just let him work it out. Dave even went back to watching the game. Who knew wearing pants could be so upsetting!

I guess you could say he won, b/c by the time he calmed down we decided to skip the pants and just go with jammies. Oh, and he has blessed us with many more fits since then.....just not that dramatic. Afterwards, Anna and I were cuddling when the boys decided to come over and attack us!

Since these last pictures are from the Super Bowl, I assume you can tell how far behind I am......
