March/April Updates

Collin and I headed back to Cincinnati for a follow up appointment. We went to the museum again just he and I. He was so happy to be able to play in the water table this time (last time he couldn't because he had just gotten his pins out and couldn't get his hands wet). We had a lot of fun together!

It was fun doing this bone puzzle together after all the talk we've been having about bones lately!

Collin Turtle

He loved building this tower together and was very proud of it!

He enjoyed some chocolate (his FAVORITE!) ice cream on the way home from the museum. I was so tickled by his messy face! He tells me all the time that he's my "Chocolate Boy" because we both love chocolate so much.

At our school group, the kids built bridges and egg protectors for part of their science projects. Here's Anna's bridge with her partner. They cared a lot more about the color scheme than the durability of their bridge. Their egg protector though was one of only two that protected the egg at the tallest height! They were so very proud!!

Eva LOVES kitty, kitties! She got her very own that moves and meows and purrs and she just loves it! She had fun playing with it with her "Nana" this day.

See the love?

I love when they are affectionate like this....helps me to survive all the arguments!

Eva looking for one of her favorite people, my friend Jenny. I love when they run to the door to excitedly wait for someone they love!

Back at the Cincinnati museum. This giant sand box was so much fun! They played so happily for a long time!

Down into the cave....one of our favorites!

Eva has become quite the girly girl and loves accessorizing!

She especially loves purses! I was so tickled that she went out for a walk in our neighborhood with a purse, phone and her jammies. She now gives quite cheesy smiles for the camera.

First pony tail!!

More kitty time.

Showing off her belly! She loves body parts and spends lots of time pointing out body parts in her animal books and on stuffed animals. My favorite though is hearing her on the baby monitor point out her baby doll's:  "Baby's eye, baby's odder eye, baby's mow, baby's no." :)

Speaking of her baby:  here are her two favorites in the world. She sleeps with this baby doll and blankie and plays with them all day. She's very sweet to her babies and likes to give them cups and rock them. I've even caught her with one of her unused diapers trying to figure out how to get it on her baby. She's very protective too and is not a fan of Collin walking her baby in their stroller. If he starts pushing it, she comes running yelling "No! No!"

Posing sweetly.

This is one of my favorite things she does. When she's tickled or sad about something, she puts her hand to her mouth for dramatic effect. It's so cute!!

Dave's been reading the big kids books and then letting them watch the movie as a reward for finishing it. They were so excited to stay up late and watch 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea!

I was under the weather and feeling pretty rotten, so sweet Benjamin made lunch!

We had a movie night and watched Frozen for the first time at home. Eva is obsessed with the song "Let it Go". Anna got the Frozen soundtrack for her birthday and they listen to it constantly. She brings me remotes and points them at the computer and says "le go, le go!" We've also watched Let it Go on youtube more times than I can count. Eva was so amazed to finally watch the movie. I couldn't believe how long she watched! Its definitely a hit in our house!

Every time Collin skips his nap, this happens....

We have another "ghetti" lover in our house!

I no longer give Eva yogurt unless its in a pouch or frozen gogurts. She insists on feeding herself everything right now and this is what happens when she's in charge of the yogurt spoon!

It was everywhere: her hands, face, hair, bib, high chair, floor, and on and on. I think she was proud though!

It was too big of a mess for wipes. She tends to end up in a sink bath quite frequently these days!

Anna was so proud to write her first story! She is such a great student and so smart. She is having a lot of fun in kindergarten and learning so quickly!
