Christmas at the Children's Museum

The Children's Museum has a lot of things set up for Christmas and we made it for the first time this year. They kids had a wonderful time! The highlight was the huge slide that they made over a staircase....

My little frogs!

They had a little winter wonderland set up. First up we had fun ice fishing.

Anna had a blast in the ice castle. She posed all over and asked me to take her picture everywhere....

Then they had fun pretending to ice skate. There was a little rink that they could slide around on in their socks. Anna enjoyed being a ballerina on the ice.

They were so excited to see the reindeer. You could pretend to feed and brush them.

This was one of Collin's favorite parts...a light switch he can reach and turn on and off as many times as he pleased. It turned on strands of Christmas lights and it was made even better by the fact that it was red. I have never seen a child so young be so in love with a color before. Collin LOVES red!

Cookie anyone?

Anna making a nice salad. They all had a great time playing in this huge kitchen that was set up like you were making a Christmas meal.

This is one of my all time favorite Collin pictures! In the winter wonderland area they had a two and under play place. Collin was so happy to have an activity that was just for him. With two older siblings, the poor guy gets told almost daily that he can't do something because he's not old enough. So he just cut loose in this play area! He especially loved this circle. He jumped up and down in it (a new skill he's very excited to have!), rolled around, ran in circles, and chilled like this. It was such an adorable moment!

All three kids were super excited for the carousel this time and Collin wasn't scared at all. He was so tickled to have a white horse.

Peek-a-boo!

My little transformer.

They have a huge Bumblebee transformer in the lobby and it always results in big smiles from the kids when they see it. The museum was so creatively decorated for Christmas. The building-sized dinosaurs coming in/out of the museum had scarves and hats on, there were decorations everywhere and even Bumblebee got a hat and scarf and huge snowballs to throw. It was one of our best days!
