December Fun (Long Catch Up Post #1)

We tried, but we didn't avoid the dumb stomach bug going around like crazy. Anna, Collin, & I had it and then Benjamin got it the next week. It was no fun, but thankfully short lived. They look like such angels sleeping through feeling so yucky.

By the time Dave got home, Collin was starting to feel a little better. After playing for a bit though he was worn out again and snuggled up with Daddy. I was too tickled by this image that I had to photograph it!

Thankfully the next day they were doing much better so my sister's family could come visit. We had the kids' pictures taken for our parents' for Christmas and enjoyed a fun visit too! Dave had the kids close their eyes as we drove to Nashville and told them we were going to the North Pole. I don't think they bought it, but we still had a fun time!

Eva was all snuggled up for the adventure and loved watching as we walked around.

Thankfully, the kids were less crazy looking for their professional pictures!

They really did a good job!

All the kids looked adorable, but I really loved this one of Eva!

Benjamin did such a great job that we decided to use it for his seven year picture (good thing too as you'll see later in this post)!

After some more drills, the kids got to have a real game for half the time this morning. It was quite the sight! Benjamin had a great time! Here he is super excited because he found a friend from his soccer team on the other bball team.

He is such a sweetheart! All the other kids mostly just dribbled the ball until they made their way to the basket and tried to shoot. Benjamin would always pass it though to one of his teammates!

I think he enjoyed playing defense.

Good game, good game....

Eva is growing so fast and is so very adorable. We had some fun capturing her expressions...

Benjamin's two top, middle teeth were loose and the one that was barely loose got kicked out thanks to his little brother during some wrestle time. He has quite the cute smile now! So he has lost a total of three teeth and has 3 more that are loose!

Grandma & Grandpa are going to the Rose Bowl over Christmas so they came and celebrated early with us. Here's Eva with her very first present, she was very interested!

It was mass chaos as the kids opened all of their goodies!

Eva is a big fan of her new baby owl that matches her big sister's for when they share a room.

Anna was super pleased with her new baby stroller that's like her Aunt Kelly's old one that she plays with at Grandma's house!

Benjamin loves all of his new gifts!

Collin is pretty happy with his pirate ship!

Thank you hugs! We also celebrated Benjamin's birthday early with them and even got to go have ice cream!

Miss Eva turned five months old! This was the day Benjamin had the stomach bug and after being awake most of the night and Dave being at work, it was most definitely a jammie day!

There's that tongue!

She is such a joy!

Eva is sitting up more. She can sit for a few seconds on her own and for a long time with the boppy.

Get it!

Her fan club is usually close by!

Fa La La La La

The kids were so cute all dressed up and ready for their MOPS Christmas Program.

Walking in excitedly....

Hi!

Eva had on her Christmas clothes too, so we had to get her picture of course!

Puzzle time with Daddy.

The kids love to steal Dave's belt any chance they can and try to hide it from him. Dave refuses to leave the house without a belt and so he plays into their game and gets worked up (mostly pretend for their enjoyment) when they have it. It's pretty funny and their lit up face when they have it is priceless!

How's this for a strange dress-up combination?

Sweet Evie Snuggles

We started a new tradition this year: hot chocolate, treats, and Christmas lights. It was so fun!

We made super fun ornaments. The kids colored onto a traced design that was on a wax paper type material and then we put them into the oven...

The oven shrunk them up after a few minutes and the kids had a grand time watching them shrink and become cute little ornaments.

Eva's baby shoes ornament for her first Christmas just like the other kids have.

She likes to stick her tongue out when she smiles now, it's pretty stinkin' adorable!!

*I'm really far behind on here, so hopefully I can catch up with some mega posts soon. Life is crazy full!!! :)

Parade & More

Grandma & Grandpa came up to go to the Christmas parade with us and we had a great time. Here they are  excitedly waiting for the parade to start.

Having fun with Grandpa.

They loved it! Anna cheered and danced almost the entire time!

Didn't mean to cut Grandma's head off in this picture, but had to show off Miss Eva. She was so sleepy but fought it for so long because she didn't want to miss any of the sights.

Loved Collin's expression when he saw the Shriner's cars (see picture below this one) start circling quickly in front of his eyes. It was jaw-dropping amazing!

Dance party!

Collin will probably hate pictures like this, but I just had to showcase his love of red.

Eva looked so adorable in this dress! This is the expression she often makes at the camera....the flash takes her by surprise!

She's so kissably sweet!

With the Christmas tree.

Having so much fun with her big brother! Love this one!

Wow! This tree is amazing!

Christmas Prep & Basketball

Dave got the Christmas decorations out when I was nursing Eva. He just took the lid off of this tote and you would have thought it was already Christmas morning. The kids excitedly took every single item out!

Getting the tree ready.

The kids favorite, the manger. They are so adorable playing with it! They have since brought their little kid chairs over in front of the table and sit and play and pretend and talk about Christmas every day.

Eva has a stocking! I tried to put her in for a picture, but her diaper wouldn't fit. :)

Benjamin has started basketball for the first time this year. Here he is getting ready to go to his first game.

The first couple of games were just drills that they competed on but still had a lot of fun!

Waiting for his next turn.

Cheering on his team in a dribbling race.

Benjamin's turn.

Benjamin's cheerleaders.

He really loves it!

Love this picture as it shows their personalities so well. Benjamin came over after the game and was telling us all about it and Anna reached out to give him a good job hug. During the hug, Benjamin just kept talking and Anna turned to pose for the picture!

After basketball, it was ornament time. The kids were about to explode they were so excited to put the ornaments on the tree!

Dave thought Eva and I looked so cool in our matching sweaters (it was by mistake that I dressed us this way, but worked well). Eva has been very interested in the tree and likes to look at it.
