We woke up to our first snow of the winter this morning. It wasn't much, but the kids were ecstatic! They waited all winter last year, with their sweet little boots lined up by the door, for snow and all we ever got was a dusting. We had somewhere to be that morning, so Daddy scooped them up a bowl to play with real quick before we took off. They were so happy!
It was so cold that morning so Eva was all cuddled up in her snow suit while we ran to our errands/appointments. She fell fast asleep all snuggled and looked so adorable!
Then after naps we were finally able to get out in the snow! Yay!
It was still so cold so we just ran around for a few minutes, but the kids were so happy.

My "bookends" for Eva's first snow.
A few days later we enjoyed making gingerbread houses. Benjamin and I have always made one larger house together but when I saw this kit to make a little village I thought we'd give it a try since Collin and Anna are getting older. They all loved doing it and we had a lot of fun although it was definitely a stressful endeavor! After they each chose which house they wanted and helped construct it, I gave them each a portion of candies to decorate with. I let them decide how much they wanted to use and how much to eat. Anna quickly chose a some gumdrops to fill her roof and then ate the rest, Collin took his time decorating most of his gum drops and then ate all the rest and all of the little candy balls, Benjamin was so conflicted....he wanted to enjoy eating them like his siblings, but he also loves decorating his the best possible. It was cute seeing their different personalities as they made their choices. :)
