Back to School

We took some time off from school for the summer, but it was time to get back to work.

During one of our breaks we had some fun and did our first sibling photo shoot.

Eva is starting look around more and more, checking out her world, which is a lot of fun for all of her admirers.

Eva Moments

Everyone was sleeping this afternoon and Eva was starting to stir and wake up to eat, so I grabbed my camera to capture some moments. She does this startle reflex where she puts both hands up in the air with her arms stretched off to the side. Afterwards her arms and hands rest down like this which I think is cute. 

One of my very favorite things about Eva are her hands. They are so long and slender and delicate and pretty!

Eva has both the lightest and least amount of hair of our four babies. Dave and I both think her hairline reminds us of baby Benjamin. I'm definitely enjoying her sweet newborn head. Not much is better than rubbing your cheek against a soft newborn baby's head.

Big yawn! Whew, that nap was exhausting!

This is how we spend a lot of time together. Eva resting on my hand with her hand wrapped around mine as I try to get her to burp so that she won't have an upset tummy and spit up later. She seems to really enjoy it and either sleeps soundly or sweetly checks out her surroundings.

Eva's eyes remind us so much of Anna as a newborn. She also has the same head shape as her big sister. It will be fun to watch her grow and see the beautiful girl she becomes!

When Daddy's Home

Daddy sneaking in cuddles before bedtime (it's hard to be away from our little girl all day, glad I don't have to).

Eva is such a sweet baby. She doesn't cry very often and lets us easily rock her to sleep for the most part. The only trouble we are having is she has lots of tummy issues...both with not having stools often enough and she has trouble with an upset stomach/spitting up after she eats sometimes. So unfortunately she has uncomfortable days/nights. Hopefully, she'll get this worked out soon. She's so sweet though because even when she's uncomfortable, she rarely cries......just squirms and grunts and does little fusses.

Everybody is excited when Daddy gets home! See Benjamin's face? The poor guy had a cold that made him feel pretty yucky for a couple days.

On the way to Target for our first girls shopping trip Anna told me, "It was really nice of God to give us three girls and three boys in our family." How sweet is that? We really are so blessed. While there Anna fell in love with this dress so she of course had to wear it the next day.

Adorable Baby Sneeze

These two have the cutest cuddles!

I finally captured Eva's sneeze...she makes two little fists...

...and brings them up to her head...

...and then pulls them to her little cheeks and does the cutest sneeze.

Pretty little summer baby.

Anna was sad this evening and wouldn't stop crying for bedtime, so I put Eva in her bed as a surprise and that cheered her right up!

Eva does well sleeping even when she's not completely swaddled up. Hope she continues to be an easy sleeper!
