Silly Boys

Collin was telling me stories and then throwing his head back and laughing like crazy over and over here.

We have two very silly boys!

Eva somehow sleeps soundly during all of her brothers' craziness!

They really are so silly!

Collin grabs Benjamin and pulls Benjamin on him and then pats his back like he's burping him while telling Benjamin, "You're my baby. My big, big baby!" He does this all the time, I'm impressed how strong he is.

Eva woke up so Collin needed a snuggle.

The Hulk

I was at a meeting and so the kids and Daddy had fun making banana splits while I was away. Dave said it was funny because one of them took their shirt off and before he knew it all three were sitting at the table like this. Looks like they enjoyed themselves!

Cuddling with Daddy

Collin one day started going around putting his fist up and saying, "Hulk smash!" It is the absolute cutest/funniest thing I have ever seen. He's done it at least a hundred times by now and it still makes me smile every time. We aren't sure what brought on his love of the The Hulk, especially since he doesn't ever watch tv. Benjamin and Anna really love a super hero show that has The Hulk on it, so I guess he picked it up from that. So I bought him some Hulk jammies and they came in a package finally. Lets just say the joy coming from Collin's little heart was immeasurable! He was beyond excited!

After putting them on, he ran to the mirror to check them out.

Anna has finally figured out how to pump her legs to make herself swing by herself. She now will run and get her shoes and go outside by herself (after asking of course) and swing for 20+ minutes as high as she can and smiling the whole time!

A smiley hulk smash, usually he has quite the tough face.

See anything different about Benjamin?

It doesn't look as bad in the picture as he did in real life, but he got a big swollen bruise on his forehead because he fell going down the stairs after launching an airplane and landed head first on the bottom of the wooden banister. He had the worst cry afterwards and felt like he was going to throw up and gave me quite the scare. He also fell down during his soccer game that week and didn't get up afterwards (which is very uncharacteristic of him) and scared me. So I told him he's not allowed to get hurt anymore for a long time!

Soccer and Rockets

More soccer pictures.....Benjamin throwing in the ball.

Benjamin has also recently joined cub scouts for the first time. One of the activities they are going to do is a rocket launch. Benjamin and Dave had a lot of fun building their rocket and were very excited to try it out.

Anna, Collin, and their friend, Jamison counting down for Benjamin's first launch.

There it goes!

The kids were excited to run after it.

Jamison's turn.

Anna's excited for her turn.

Collin helped too.

Watching it go up, up, up.

Collin wearing overalls for the first time (that he can remember). He was very tickled by them and loved the big pocket in the front. He looked adorable too!

Firsts: Soccer, Bath, Bottle

Soccer actually started several weeks ago, but I misplaced these pictrures some how and never blogged them. Benjamin is in an older division this season for soccer (with 6 and 7 year olds). The teams are larger, girls and boys play on separate teams, and there are now goalies. Here is Benjamin as the goalie for the first time.

Standing Ready. (He didn't see much action though.)

He still really loves soccer.

Eva is pretty happy all the time, but she wasn't a fan of being naked or getting sponge baths. So we held off on giving her a real bath thinking it would upset her. We gave her the first one a week or so ago and she did great with it....never cried, just layed there with a look like what is going on. So that was a nice relief for us.

New babies look so cute all snuggled into their little hooded towels after a bath.

Still loves napping in her new seat.

She looks so peaceful.

We had a lunch picnic this day, which the kids loved. We even included Eva by putting her on her little mat.

Another first this week, Eva had her first bottle (given by her loving Daddy, of course) and did great with it!

Dave thought Collin looked like a little French chef with his tray and chocolate mustache.

Meeting Mamom

Our neighbor surprised us with a new activity mat for Eva. The kids think it is so cool and were so excited to have Eva start using it. Eva really likes it too and enjoys cooing and kicking her legs while looking all around.

Dave's grandma (the kids call her Mamom) is visiting from Florida and was excited to get to cuddle with Eva.

We were very excited for her to meet Mamom too!

The kids showing off their VBS songs for Mamom.

Collin being a silly monkey.

After playing hard outside, Anna enjoyed a popsicle with Mamom.

Four generations picture. Thanks for a great visit!

Dave took the day off so that he could spend time with his grandma and be here when she met Eva for the first time. Since we were having such a fun day, he said that Collin should get to stay awake at nap time since it was a vacation day and all. So we let him. While we were eating supper, Collin got up and went to sit on the couch. He does this quite often, so I didn't think anything of it. That is until I came over and found him like this. (Again, I have no clue why he took his shirt off. He just likes to shed clothing these days.)

That evening Anna had ballet and she got to wear a new leotard that grandma sent her and couldn't have been more excited! She's such an adorable little dancer!

Meeting Great Grandma Heidi

We spent Labor Day weekend with my parents so we could introduce Eva to her to my grandma. They enjoyed a nice snuggle together and we got to have a wonderful visit.

Nice and cozy in Grandma Heidi's arms.

She got to meet lots of other family members too, including my aunt Mildred.

We got to spend some time at Dave's parents' house too. The kids had a lot of fun putting together this super hero puzzle.

While the other kids napped, Dave took Benjamin out to see the Falls of the Ohio and they had a lot of fun looking for fossils.
